Interactive workshop “Beyond Access: Exploring Health, Autonomy, and Inclusion in Social Services” in France

On July 17th, 2025, the University of Picardie Jules Vern (UPJV), organised and hosted an interactive workshop on their premises that focused on exploring how social services can better support health, autonomy, and inclusion, especially for vulnerable populations. Participants discussed the multidimensional nature of well-being, highlighting psychological, social, and physical health, access to education and digital skills, social inclusion, and personal autonomy.

The workshop aimed to co-develop a practical evaluation tool that measures well-being in these areas, with input from both service providers and users. It emphasized the need for simplified, transparent, and inclusive services, while identifying barriers like bureaucracy, digital exclusion, and lack of participation in decision-making.
