EVOSST Presented at Horizon Europe Event on Social Sciences and Humanities in France
On 10 February 2026, EVOSST was presented during an event in Amiens, France, dedicated to the integration of Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) into European research projects.
The event was organised by the French National Contact Point (NCP) for Horizon Europe Cluster 2 and the Europe Recherche & Innovation network. It focused on the growing role of SSH disciplines in European collaborative research and how they can help ensure that research and innovation respond to societal needs.
As part of the event, a researcher from University of Picardie Jules Verne (UPJV), an EVOSST project partner, took part in a round-table discussion with researchers from different disciplines. EVOSST was presented as an example of interdisciplinary European collaboration bringing together expertise from psychology, computer science, economics and other fields.

The presentation also highlighted how UPJV’s involvement in EVOSST originated from an open-access scientific publication co-authored by researchers from psychology and computer science, showing how collaboration across disciplines can lead to new research opportunities.
Within EVOSST, psychology plays an important role in helping ensure that the project’s digital tools and methodologies take into account well-being, user needs and human behaviour. This complements the project’s technological work and supports the development of solutions that respond to the needs of the people who may ultimately use them.
The round-table discussion provided an opportunity to exchange experiences on interdisciplinary research and the contribution of Social Sciences and Humanities to European collaborative projects.
