Students Explore the EVOSST Serious Game at Erasmus+ Programme in Bergamo
From 4 to 8 May 2026, the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) “Inclusive & Accessible Environments for Disability 2026” took place at the University of Bergamo, Italy, bringing together higher education students from partner universities across Europe. The programme focused on inclusion, accessibility and the participation of people with disabilities across different living environments.
As part of the programme, Federica Cilia from EVOSST project partner University of Picardie Jules Verne (UPJV) delivered a three-hour session focusing on inclusive higher education for autistic students and the development of accessible resources to support vulnerable populations. The session introduced the Atypie-Friendly programme and discussed how digital tools and innovative educational approaches can contribute to inclusion and well-being.
A key part of the session focused on the EVOSST digital serious game, developed to support university students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in academic and social situations. The game takes participants through different scenarios involving email exchanges, emotions and anxiety, social interactions in a university library, and collaborative group work.
Participants were then invited to experience the EVOSST serious game directly on their own laptops or tablets. This hands-on activity allowed them to explore situations and challenges that autistic students may encounter in university settings and to consider how digital resources can support more inclusive learning environments.

The activity involved 25 undergraduate and postgraduate students from the University of Picardie Jules Verne, University of Bergamo, Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco and University of Macedonia. At the end of the session, participants worked in small groups to write a fictional letter that they might give to autistic students starting university.
The session helped students from different European universities learn more about the EVOSST serious game and how digital resources can support inclusion, collaborative learning and well-being in higher education.
